NowPDF Writer should work with any
windows software program that uses windows printing. If you can
print it on your laser or inkjet printer, you will be able to
convert it to PDF. The way the NowPDF Writer works is that it
captures the 'image' of the file in the same way a printer does
(as post script) but instead of converting it to graphics on
paper, it creates a PDF file of that image. Almost any software
that uses Windows printing will be able to use the power of
NowPDF Writer.
Important Note:
A software
program designed to use Adobe Acrobat as a plug-in will not
recognize NowPDF Writer software as a replacement. The NowPDF
Writer will not make the "Print Adobe PDF..." option often found
in a software program work. However, like I mentioned above, if
your software program can print to an inkjet or laser printer,
it will still be able to make PDF files with the NowPDF Writer.
As shown in some of the screenshots in getting started page, the
software creates a 'virtual printer' that you can 'print' to and
create a PDF.
NowPDF Writer does not have a 'working document' window or
program that you open to create a PDF file. It is a 'virtual
printer' that you use to create PDF files. You must create the
file in another software program like Microsoft Word or
Publisher, then from that software program select 'print'
(usually found under the 'file' menu) and select the printer "NowPDF
Writer" to create your PDF file. For more detail and step by
