Using the NowPDF Writer PDF Security Options

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Any changes made
to the pdf security setting will effect
all PDF files created afterwards until the pdf
security settings are changed again. You will
not be prompted for pdf security options each
time you make a PDF file.
To modify Security
options, select the 'Start' Menu then Programs >
NowPDF > Security
This will open the
PDF Security Settings Dialogue as shown
below:
The Now PDF
Security Settings gives you several options to
restrict access and options to users of your PDF
file. The 'Add security to generated PDF
documents' must be checked for any of the other
options to be activated.

Two levels of
passwords: a password to open the PDF
document, and a master password allowing
someone to change all other PDF Security
restrictions, permissions and passwords.

When 'No
Printing' is selected, the 'print' option on
the file menu will be grayed out preventing
anyone from printing a paper copy of your
PDF document.

'No Changing
the Document' is pretty straight forward -
without the master password, no one will be
able to change your document even with PDF
editors like Adobe Acrobat.

'No Content
Copying or Extraction' prevents users from
stealing text or graphics used in your PDF
file.

'No Adding or
Changing Comments and Form Fields' does just
that - there are some software programs that
allow you to add comments to PDF files or
fill in forms, this option prevents the use
of that type of software actions.
